Interior Design for the Sunrise Mountain View Resort Hotel

The 3D interior design renderings for the Sunrise Mountain View Resort in Vang Vieng (Laos) is a perfect example of contemporary spatial design and THE RIVA’s turnkey design-build services. Through a subtle blend of rustic local materials and modern design language, we are proud to have created a 4-star accommodation space bathed in natural light, fully celebrating the exclusive relaxation experience and the majestic mountain scenery for all guests.

1. Project Overview: Addressing the Developer’s Challenges

With a prime location in Vang Vieng, the developer, Ms. Phuong, sought to create a 4-star hotel interior that exudes luxury and and comfort without overshadowing the beauty of the natural surroundings. The challenge for THE RIVA was to design room categories (single, double, triple rooms) that are consistent in style, optimize the mountain views, while using materials suited to the region’s unique mountainous climate.

THE RIVA team’s solution is to adopt a Modern-Contemporary style with neutral tones as the dominant theme, designing floor-to-ceiling glass walls to “blur” the boundary between inside and outside, transforming each room into a miniature sunrise observation deck.

2. Spatial Highlights & The Art of Materials

The 3D interior rendering of Sunrise Mountain View Resort makes a strong impression thanks to the precision in layout design and artful use of premium materials:

• Lobby & F&B Area (Expanded & Connected): The lobby and restaurant areas are designed as open spaces, using soft curves to create a sense of relaxation. A system of premium leather-upholstered circular seating surrounds the columns, combined with a tiered plaster ceiling and artistic pendant lights to create a refined, contemporary aesthetic. The buffet restaurant area features warm, striped wood paneling and a thoughtfully designed layout to guide guests’ flow.
• The 4-star guest rooms are bathed in natural light: Whether it’s a single, double, or triple room, all adhere to an elegant neutral color palette of beige, wood brown, and light gray. The headboard features a wavy wooden panel with recessed LED strip lighting combined with soft upholstery, creating a warm and depth. The standout feature is the large, floor-to-ceiling tempered glass wall that opens onto a spacious balcony, true to the spirit of “Sunrise Mountain View” —where guests can watch the sunrise rise from the mountain peak right from the comfort of their own bed.
• Eco-friendly & durable materials: THE RIVA prioritizes materials that can withstand the mountain climate while maintaining contemporary aesthetics. The skillful combination of natural wood wall paneling, gray slate panels, and a high-end aluminum-glass system creates a look that is both rustic, warm, yet incredibly luxurious.

3. Real-world feedback from the developer

"As soon as I saw the first 3D interior renderings, I knew I had placed my trust in the right place. THE RIVA not only fully captures the contemporary resort concept I was aiming for, but also proposed very clever material solutions to make the most of the view of Vang Vieng Mountain. You’ve truly brought light and nature into every corner of the room.” – Ms. Phuong, Developer.
